MINE SAY HI !
Too lazy to switch back the correct sub minute hand. Perhaps it’s not for everyone, but I quite like it.

Even though I'm not wild about the OEM 1162 bracelet on my Mark II, I'm tempted by the Uncle Seiko US1162.

Has anyone tried one yet?
I've got a US1172 that wear on my Mark II with 735 end links. Very pleased with the quality.

I particularly like the fact that the US1162 has solid, milled end links, and the clasp has the option of OEM style or double button.

Got it for my racing dial and its perfect. Still looking for a couple of links for the 1162 btw

That's cool. What size wrist do you have?
The OEM 1162 isn't great for smaller wrists (mine ~6.75") as the taper means that you can't adjust the clasp to the lower settings (the clasp won't close).

I'm hoping that the Uncle bracelet better for this? (I've a US version of the 1171 and these can be sized small, no problem).

Hi,
Does anyone know if the metal bracelet from the new Mark 2 fits the old Mark 2 (145.014)?

i believe would will have not problem, look at the position that I’m using in the clasp. Btw is the 2 button push from US not the stamped one.

my wrist is around 7-3/4 inches. The oem that came with this watch do not close at all lol.

Thanks @sotelodon that looks very promising. I'll give it a try 😀

Nice one, @sotelodon!

Thanks for the heads-up.
Over Christmas I've moved my '72 Mark II from the 1450 to the 1171, and back.

The 1450 is still the best look and feel for me, but I'm still hankering after a the US1162 to see definitively if it is not for me. 😀

The US1162 arrived. I'm pleased with it. For me, with smaller wrists, a much better fit and more comfortable than the original. The button clasp is a very welcome upgrade and the finishing on the bracelet is very good.

Just chiming in here. I've had a beautiful j/m Holzer on my speedy, but I've added a new notched silicone stap. I think it flows beautifully from the case. I have a black one with red stiching as well. These fit perfectly and I think they rate. Currently loving the orange colour. Changes things a bit. Some hints of another dial perhaps..... Let me know what you think. Thanks.

IIRC, they MKIIs were produced from 69 until about 72.

I miss my "racing dial" MKII. It always got comments from passersby. Mine had the original sunburst case finish as well. Truly gorgeous.

Would like another eventually, but they don't come up often.

Cheers

That would be on my do not sell list- I have very few in my collection that would be on that list but MkII racing with original finishes would be among them.

Agreed. I’ve been kicking myself ever since. Of course it’s been about 18 years I think.
