That's the back of my Snoopy strap, so it confirms number in above article.

This is also a handy pic I grabbed from the forum at one point about various deployants. I have the 9452.18.83 and it works well with the snoopy as well as an alligator leather strap.

1st time I went in to ask about straps and chatted with Angela (one of the daughters I think). She was pleasant, but said they don't carry straps, so best they could do is order from Omega for me and install them, and that all they'd be able to do was show me on a tablet, so I should just go home and do it on the website and come back to order. I would have checked them out on their tablet and ordered there, but felt a little 'pushed out'? They were empty and it was mid week early, but understand I didn't look like I was there to buy.

This time I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and was ready to have them order, and was with Bill Bevill. I waited on him to be ready for me (he was chatting with another Omega fan).

After which he told me he DID stock a bunch of the bands, but mostly for the purpose of selling with watches they sold and that they make no profit on them, but if I'd pay $100 markup, he'd sell me one.
Well, this is a new one, an AD upcharging $100 on about a $275 strap, a nice little markup for him. I still don't understand the dealer's reasoning for the surcharge, makes little sense. And the suggestion that you should just go home, pick out the strap you want and come back and order it won't work, most Omega straps aren't listed on the website. Just sounds like a dealer that doesn't want to be bothered on low priced accessory items. I'm about 45 minutes to my closest Omega boutique and they have always been happy to order any strap or buckle that I wanted if they didn't have it in stock. And they always ask if I want it installed, never any hesitation to help. There is a general difference between an AD and OB in levels of service.

The AD in question has seemed incredibly bored and disinterested in helping me with watches when I've been in to the point of dismissive. I went in fully planning to negotiate and purchase a Seamaster heritage, and quickly came to the conclusion that I would never purchase a watch from this dealer, ever. They have also flat refused to order/supply springbars or straps.

The primary Omega showroom is completely boarded up and shut down, and it seems apparent that they are much more interested in selling jewelry... which, based upon the $100 dollar strap mark-up...

I would just email or even call an OB next time you need something. I purchased my 1861 from a trusted seller here and went to the OB the day after it arrived and they could not have been nicer and adjusted the bracelet for me. I have been in for straps and such and to get it pressure tested once a year and they could not be more pleasant to deal with. (OB on north Michigan Ave in Chicago)

They DO have about 1 case with 4 Speedmaster Pros, a few Chronos and some other variants, about 15 Seamaster divers, about 10 Dial-less seamasters, and a pretty sizable case of Deviles/Connies, but thats it. I frankly was shocked initially at being asked to check out straps online (instead of, "hey, don't you want the strap on this Seamaster! we could order one and sell you this seamaster too!"), plus getting no real discussion/attention to the case. But yeah, I'll probably end up buying online (or perhaps in Tokyo when I go in February!) before buying at this AD. I guess at least it isn't a Rolex AD...

Sadly, I don't have an OB anywhere nearby. The $100 was on strap + deployant, so I was out the door at $675, which was acceptable, but knowing I was getting run over a little.

Hi all-
As some may remember, I picked up an 1861 Speedmaster Pro on a SS bracelet not long ago. I adore the watch, but found the bracelet to be kind of terrible (its either too tight, or jingles, feels heavy/etc). I read about a few sailcloth options (I have a hamilton that came with a sailcloth/leather one that I really like!), and ended up ordering this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/275560802007

It is a sailcloth/leather with an aftermarket deployant clasp. After a few days, I really quite like it! It makes the watch feel much lighter, and it stays in place and is much more comfortable overall, and I think the black strap does wonderful things for the rest of the speedmaster.

However, I realize that Omega sells their own version of this for ~$500. I also see the Artem version that many suggest (though, from looking at reviews/pictures, the deployant seems to be the same 3rd party one). So my question is: Is going to my AD and picking up the Omega version of the deployant or strap worth it? Has anyone owned both of the deployants and found the Omega one to be worth the extra money?
The omega deployant clasp is a much higher quality than pretty much anything you can find that isn't from a high luxury brand. I have had many omegas with deployant clasp, on both leather and cloth and it is extremely solid and fits the level of the timepiece. It does not feel like a cheap add on as some aftermarket clasp might feel

Does the clasp that comes on the 3861 speedy pro hesalite strap work with the rubber strap they also offer?
