Recently purchased the Omega Speedmaster Racing dial on SS bracelet (black w/ orange accents) and I am looking for a SS deployant clasp.

I want to add the leather strap and be able to use other OEM straps on this watch.

I believe I need the 18mm clasp and 21mm tapered to 18mm straps, is that correct? If so can someone provide me with the part number for the deployant clasp? I have been unable to locate it with my research.

    TIA

Generally the cheapest place to buy the deployants, and the only place to buy the spring bars, are from Omega. Best to call your OB or AD and they can look up the #s for you.

EDIT: I decided to be less lazy and looked at my deployant. The # is 94521813. It is a polished stainless steel; I do not know the number for the brushed SS version.

This was posted before and has helped me out. Without looking into what your watch strap size is I cant narrow it down.

I believe the newer “shield” type deployant would be correct. Take a look at 94521883. This is an 18mm at the receiving end and would fit the 21/18 tapered strap.

So the ones I'm looking at on eBay are either fake or have lost the spring bar?

I'll try to buy from a OB or AD for piece of mind.

A lot of fake stuff like DP clasps and buckles on eBay.....it's easy for the Chinese to crank these out without too much effort. Unless you are absolutely sure of its origin I'd stay away from eBay and just buy from authorized Omega source. Peace of mind and they aren't that expensive relative to the cost of your watch.

I have the white dial version of the Speedmaster Racing and bought the Omega deployant clasp and the Omega black rally strap with the little holes with orange accents in them - I ordered them from the local AD. The part number for the clasp was 94521893. I ended up using the clasp with a JR cordura strap instead.

On the list pictured earlier, if theres an * with the part number that means the clasp will accept thicker straps like most JR condura options. I personally think this is the better route to go incase you get a thicker strap down the road. Theres no reason you cant use a regular thickness strap in one with an *

The clasp I have was not one of the * part numbers and it worked fine with the JR cordura strap.

Glad to hear. You can run 10w30 in a car that recommends 5w30 and it will probably be fine but my point was if someone is gonna order a new clasp, why not order it according to their needs. Omega started offering the * clasps for a reason.
