Wow, I really like that rubber strap Rahkshi007. I know I asked before about it, but didn't have the watch back then. Can you remind me the model numbers? Did you get it at an AD? How much was the damage? 😁

It looks great. I also like the leather one, but have a thing for the comfort of rubber.

Leather one suitable for indoor and winter weather..
I order from authenticwatches.com at 395 usd exclude shipping..
The rubber Ref 98000280
Remember to use thicker spring bar (1.78mm) for this rubber..
Next week will have my holiday trip at Hot sweaty Thailand with this bad boy + rubber strap 😁

Thanks. Does the normal deployment clasp work fine? Also, did you change it yourself? I'm not sure about my...strap changing skills and well, it's ceramic. 😁

Yes, the ceramic deployant will fit perfectly with the rubber.. Yea, i changed it myself...
To remove the 18mm spring bar (at deployant side) i recommend you flip over the strap and insert the spring bar tool at inner side of the strap so that even accidentally scratched the strap will not notice from outside.

That looks fantastic. It's making me seriously think about getting it as well. I also think that the original dsotm is the best version 😀

One sexy watch. Great write-up.
I really like the leather strap! I've also got a DSOTM and I would like to also get something like that. Can you please tell me where you got it from and maybe a model number? Thanks!

Here are a couple of wrist shots for people who were curious about size. I was actually a bit surprised looking at the photos, as it looks much bigger than it looks to my eyes. Still, I do have small wrists so consider that. Forgot to take an aligned top shot, but the lugs are several milliliters away from the edge of the wrist.

Don't think it is possible to get a clownish big-watch effect with this one, unless you really have ant wrists. 😀

For the accuracy-obsessed... Been tracking accuracy since I got it three weeks ago and it is now averaging at +2.2 s/day. Not amazing but definitely not bad at all. It's actually matching the measurements I read at WatchTime.
Deviation extremes are +1.4 s/d and +4.9 s/d. The 4.9 is a bit of an outlier in all the values, so I wonder if I goofed up the measurement that day.

Since I got it I've been wearing it during the day and leave it with the crown facing down during the night. Have to try other positions to see if there is any significant difference.

For the first month or two, mine was running approximately +1.75s /day. On Sunday, I set the time again using the atomic clock and it's now averaging +0.57s/day.

There was a thread going earlier this year debating if mechanical watches needed "break in time" before they settle on their accuracy. Regardless of the truth of that or not, I'm happy with the change.

I'm getting +1 a day and have had it for almost 2 years.

Nice numbers. I have to check mine if excluding that outlier value. And also in other positions. But it is very acceptable already.
I'm not the type that worries much about the accuracy of mechanicals, but I can tell the difference between this one and my other watch. At around +4.5/s you start noticing minutes piling up with the months.

Yea my sub is about 2-3 seconds slow a day so I have to adjust it every couple of weeks. But then again I can pop in to almost any watch maker if I want to get it adjusted not to mention we have an RSC here in SF. I would not let anyone but Omega touch the 9300 let alone ceramic.

most regular watchmakers cannot adjust a RLX sub... you need quite specific tools for the micrstellas... and you need to get those from the mothership (which you cant)

I don't know what you mean by "regular watchmaker", but any formally trained watchmaker should be able to work on an adjustable mass balance wheel - this is very routine work. It's certainly not as easy as pushing a lever around, or turning one central regulating screw, but for any professional watchmaker this isn't anything they can't handle.

Microstella tools don't have to come from Rolex - they are widely available as generic tools from most material suppliers. I simply typed "Microstella tool" into my Google search bar, and this result came up on Cousins in the UK...they are not hard to find...

Cheers, Al

Summer is coming, I'm tempted to get that rubber strap.

It was sunny yesterday, too bad the camera is still the same and this thing is a true dust magnet if you look at it up close. But I finally got to look at it with some proper strong sunlight.
