Seems not. Have a wonderful one for sale. Priced fairly. Little interest. Perplexed.

What's going on with this model???

Depends on your price and hesalite vs sapphire. They aren't hard to get so no one is going to pay dealer price. Most people want a bracelet. Some people have several speedys and don't see enough difference to add the 3861. People who don't have a Moonwatch may see this as more than they want to spend, as it's more expensive now. It's the holidays, there's a recession coming, you're not advertising it correctly. Hard to say.

Why are you selling it? Perhaps that'll partly answer your question.

Pdxleaf, The Moonphase is sapphire only , don’t confuse it with moonwatch. It’s an automatic movement, 44mm case, 2 subdials with moonphase

Thanks. My apologies!

I failed a simple reading comprehension exam. 🤦

I would think it’s due to the size. I wouldn’t want a 44mm moonphase; I could swing the 44mm Racing, but that may be it. Too bad, though - they’re gorgeous.

A big fat bastard of a watch which doesn't appeal to everyone. They are a niche interest at best. All the 99XX movement Omegas are a tough sell since they are so large they lead to a very big and very deep case.

I am waiting for Omega to go back old school with the moonphase. Like the 1985 speedymoon with 866 cal. Later they made the 1866 editions. Now all Omega needs to do is add a moonphase and date module to the 3861 movement, and call it 3866.

Moonphase back at the 12 o clock position, bring it in white gold with a strap, killer watch!

For some reason the previous 866/1866 date and moonphase watches were never embraced by the market. You rarely see them discussed on OF even though it is a cool complication fit into the classic Speedmaster case. I doubt Omega will re-release a version of it, much less in white gold.

I believe it may be due to sizes. Moonphase is one of my favourites. I have a larger wrist and bought the Omega WT in the summer which I believe is one of the nicest modern watches Omega does for so many reasons. It has the same issues however. Although definitely appreciated, many decided too big (43mm) so not discussed on these forums much.

Moonphase on my list.

I had a ceramic cased version with moonphase indication. Wonderful movement with great accuracy, and the 44.25 mm case size was even 'ok' for my 7.5" wrist. But the 17 mm thickness was just too much. Sold it earlier this year.

For me only the price of the watch can make it "no popular".

I think moonphase and sports chronometer don’t jive. Moonphase is something I might want on a dress watch with other complications. So I’m thinking JLC or Blancpain or snazzier than those.
Moonwatch/moonphase may somehow make sense on the surface but many people probably can’t get around the size and overall business of it.
But I’m sure you’ll find a buyer. Probably more somebody who already has a bunch of other Speedies.

Tachymeter bezel with moon phase just doesn't float my boat.

You can get this watch without the moonphase indicator so I don't think that is holding these models back, I think it comes down to size, thickness and cost.
