Having been pretty much exclusively immersed in vintage omega watches since last fall when I stumbled on a picture of a solid gold connie deluxe has been a hoot but... Yep I fell in love with the designs from the '50's not to mention the fact that the 35mm wear well on my small 6.5" wrists. Thanks to this forum I have learned quite a bit since then. Like many newbies who don't do their homework before purchasing a vintage piece I learned I overpaid for my first vintage omega. Though it could have been a lot worse!
By way of the WRUW thread I have seen some lovely moderns especially those that are vintage inspired. I am drifting between various models. My question is about a particular speedmaster that I think is a stunner. The contrast of rose gold and stainless is striking and I love the broad arrow design. Now most likely is not the right time for an investment of this size but I am curious. I have not found comps as to value or much background on this one. Any guidance is greatly appreciated! The modern watch department is such a challenge for me! My problem is every time I consider putting money into a modern omega I can't help but to think it would be money better spent on a less common and IMO often more beautiful and collectible vintage piece. Nevertheless I think 2-3k contemporary omega is in my future. Now I'm leaning towards a ceramic smp 300 but can't decide between blue or black!
