Omega Speedmaster Apollo 25th Anniversary Limited Edition in 18K White Gold # 6 of 500 - Reference 3692.30 - Includes Original 18K White Gold Omega Deployment Buckle

Presenting what I think is a special watch as I am refocusing my collection.

The watch feature features the COSC certified Omega caliber 864, which is a rhodium plated decorated movement based on the caliber 863 and regulated to chronometer specifications. This limited edition watch is # 6 / 500.

Two articles from Fratello discussing this reference:

Provenance: Bought by me from Sotheby’s Geneva May 2014

Service History: Serviced by Omega in January 2015. Pushers, crown, and hands replaced (originals were returned and will be included with the sale). Dial was not touched. Case was not polished.

Dial: Original with tritium lume plots. There is a symmetric aging of the dial at 12:00, centered under the reset position of the chronometer hand. This aging was common on these dials (and why most examples of this reference that come to market have service dials). I personally love the patina that has developed on both the dial and the lume plots.

Hands: Service replacements with luminova. Original hands with tritium lume will be included in the sale.

Case: Original. Very good used condition. Normal wear as this watch has been in my regular rotation as it likely was with its previous owner. Small scratches and dings. No major damage. Possibly polished at one point, but not since I have owned it. Sapphire case back in excellent condition. Commemorative engravings deep and strong.

Pushers: White gold service replacements. Original white gold pushers will also be included in sale.

Crown: White gold service replacement. Original white gold crown will also be included in sale.

Bezel: Original in very good condition. Very subtle dings. No major scratches.

Movement: 864 Chronometer rated movement. Rhodium plated with Geneva striping.
Runs and winds smoothly with all functions working properly.

Strap with Deployment Clasp: Original 18K white gold deployment clasp. Will include used Omega alligator strap that fits the deployment if buyer is in United States (cannot be shipped internationally).

Price: $18,000 USD

Payment
: Bank Transfer

Shipping: Will include Fed Ex 2 day air to U.S. addresses. International at cost. Face to Face in NYC is also welcome.

This is my first for sale post on OF, as I have been primarily a buyer (references as buyer below). I am happy to provide other references upon request.

I was asked about service documentation as well as condition of the original hands. Photos of these are now below.

As several members have asked about the possibility of a trade, I would consider an attractive 145.022-68 or 145.022-69 plus cash to me.

Thanks for looking!

@arkman I have one of these on the bracelet after searching for a while. One of my favorites and a beautiful piece. GLWS!

I was also asked if I had the original commemorative box and papers. Unfortunately no, the watch was priced accordingly.

I do, however, have a spare complete Moonwatch presentation box set (big box version) which I would be happy to include with the sale.

Price reduction to $19,500 USD.

This is now the best price for this reference that has come to market with original dial and clasp in the last 2 years. It is also substantially less than the Canopus gold Speedmaster on a strap (and, I think much cooler!).

The consignment deadlines for the December auctions in NY are coming up. I would prefer to sell it here, as it would benefit both the buyer and myself. But if no interest, to auction it goes....

Final Price Reduction to 18,000 USD.

This watch has a known service history, original tritium dial, original 18k deployment clasp and the lowest number I have ever seen come to market for this reference.

If no interest at this price, it goes back in the safe.
