    Hi,

I'm interested in a nice Speedy, but I'm questioning if the Crystal Caseback matches the watch or if it has been refitted. Caseback is unnumbered Apollo XI from what I understand, but movement (863) has a high serial number 48.355.7XX indicating "professional yellow". Does anyone know if the Apollo XIs came with these numbers or only as it says in the good book 48.251.XXX to 48.315.XXX. Thankful for any information. All the best from Sweden

Maybe I misunderstand. The 20th anniversary of Apollo XI was issued in 1989. It had a cal.861 movement and standard caseback.
    Excuse the crummy picture.

It should have an inscription on the midcase.

Example below. I think there were 3 different types of inscriptions.

Thanks everyone for helping me out! Do you think around $3000 is too much if it's in nice condition?

Comes with a period correct bracelet? Tritium speedies are a good buy at 3k IMO.
