DSOTM black cordura looks great and is more comfortable than the black + yellow racing strap as it has softer/more flexible padding. The padding profile is different as well. Black cordura strap's padding is flatter compared to the dome on the black + yellow racing. Depending on the size of your wrist, that dome padding may look weird.

Did you go to an AD or a Boutique? I don’t think that Omega directly didn’t want you to get the strap. I have seen that some reps at ADs lack the knowledge of the product that Omega has or they just want to bother because they don’t make a lot of money on them. On the other hand the boutiques use these and other products to build the brand’s image. And also have more knowledge on their products as they only sell Omega.

Boutique. They are lovely in there, but clueless. It was only because someone kind here gave me screenshots of the catalogue that they finally accepted it even existed.

I am expecting to pick my long awaited Apollo 8 this Wednesday 😀

As standard it comes on a black racing strap with yellow accents and standard tang-buckle.

I have ordered extra fold-over clasp and strap, that is identical to standard, but fitting the deployant but... I was thinking - what other straps are you guys and / or gals wearing on this unique piece?

I am looking for some inspirations 😀
