Didn鈥檛 you hear? Instead of the Stanley Cup, that鈥檚 the new trophy. We鈥檒l see who wins this marvelous price of craftsmanship soon.

You can't drink enough alcohol out of this watch for it to be any sort of replacement for The Cup....

They are replacing the misspelled boxes with corrected ones so I received a temporary wooden box (nice) until new ones are shipped. I was told all the mispelled boxes were in the process of being returned to corporate. I wanted the orriginal version and my boutique managed to get one for me from another boutique. .

Hello all

New member here and first post.

I've been lurking this forum and other watch forums for a while and I'm somewhat new to the luxury watch world. I have a nice Mont Blanc chrono Timewalker that I've been wearing for a decade. Love the 43mm case with the silver dial as it goes with everything. Then about 2 years ago I got a Tag Chrono Aquaracer in black. More casual but love the weight and look

The reason for my post is that I put a deposit on a Speedy Apollo XVII from a AD (Mayors here in Tampa Florida). They said they only had 1 allocated (maybe a sales tactic) but after seeing it on the website I knew I had to have it

I looked at the Speedy Grey dial racing watch as I love the grey dial, orange hints, and brown leather band. The blue '57 was also another option.

However, I know I made the right choice with the LE and I even ordered the brown leather band that is similar to the gold version.

Does anyone have any pictures of the Apollo XVII in SS with a brown leather band?

Can't wait to get my 1st Omega! 馃榾

I bought one of these a couple of months back as a momento for my time spent working in Geneva (due to leave in June). Similar to Duff Ace above, I'd love to know if anyone has played around with straps. Interestingly, the Omega dealership were recommending a blue aligator strap they had. Didn't buy from there, otherwise I'd have asked to see it on.

Those wondering about availability, the Omega dealership in Geneva (obviously likely to have a high allocation) had 3 watches. I've seen 3 others in the windows of different ADs around here.

Finally got to see this watch at my local AD. It looks way better in person than it does in photos. The gold accents aren't as prominent as they look in the pictures. It's a really great looking watch. I'm going to think about this one.

Just swapped it to a blue hirch calf leather strap.

Looks great, good choice of blue with the white thread. I imagine it makes it quite restrictive with outfits though. I need to increase the size of my collection so I can do something similar!

When I bought mine they sold it to me in a light brown Omega box and told me that the new box was coming from Switzerland. After a little conversation I figured it out that they were shipping the newly printed boxes with the correct verbiage. I prefer the one with the mistake and I think it might be somewhat collectible down the road. They found one for me at another Boutique and I have the misspelled version. I also have the nice smaller brown wooden Omega box that I use for a vintage Omega.

I got my Apollo XVII 45th from the local AD yesterday - my box says "manking". I like it....and the watch too.

I like the micro adjustment clasp on this watch as well - it made bracelet sizing a breeze and it's really comfortable. I was wowed by this watch a month or so ago when I first saw it in person. When I went back yesterday and it was still there I had to get it. It looks so much better in person than it does in photos.

I can't find where it says manking or mankind...?

Bottom right corner of the text on horizontal surface of the blue presentation case, right before the word "Godspeed".

Enough waiting then. I shall just collect the misspelled box and forget about the corrected box. Thanks for the feedback guys.
