There is lots of talk about the new 3861 bracelet, but I wasn't able to find much information about alternative leather straps that fit the deployant that comes with the leather version of the speedmaster.

As I am more partial to a brown strap, I was looking around, and have not found many options that will neatly fit the deployant.

So I turn to the hive mind for suggestions for straps that fit the omega deployant, i.e. no keeper loops or hole for the pin buckle and the adjusted length so that the deployant sits on the bottom of the wrist properly. Edit: the deployant takes 18mm if im not mistaken.

I guess I could always go for the OEM one but I thought asking around here first was a good idea.

Thanks in advance.

Not cheap, but I have one from Genteel and love it for my 1861:
https://www.genteel-handmade.com/
I second Genteel, you can get it made with many leather options, colors, thread colors, lining colors, padding and dimensions. Delivered to you door in about five weeks. Better quality than Omega at much better price. I've ordered twelve of them in all kinds of sizes and materials, never been disappointed. George will take care of you.

There are a few custom strap makers on this forum that will make according to your needs (IE fit OEM deployant). Veblenist is our own (Howard) @Optimizer13 and he makes wonderful straps. You can also reach out to (Jan) @jankoxxx. I own straps from both and highly recommend them. Attached is made by Jan

I've got two alligator straps from "Monstraps". You can customize every aspect of the strap or buy ready made. I have one for my 1861 Speedmaster and one for my GS. As you can see both are made for different style of deployant. I'm happy with both.

I had a great experience with my custom Chromexcel strap from Delugs. I would definitely order from them again.

Lots of custom makers offer straps (as mentioned). But there are some other manufacturers who sell off the shelf straps for Omega deployments. Hirsh makes some (the Voyager line, I believe). Artem also offers one in rubber-backed Sailcloth (but only in black).

I actually already asked the local hirsch supplier here, they said that omega deployant style straps would have to be a special order. The ones online seem to be a bulk special order from watch obsession.

I am considering the artem, I do like it too, but for now I am looking for a classic brown leather for a slightly dressier look.

Maybe also worth looking into is Barton Watch bands/Straps. I have a couple ordered right now. I know nothing about the Omega deployment 'interface.' Also, I just went ahead a stepped up for an OEM strap & clasp. It will be here tomorrow. Yes, big ouch. But at least it will be, per se, all original.

I thought the deployant that comes on the 3861 is 16mm. The 1861/1863 came with either an 18mm or 16mm depending if you bought the 1861 or 1863. I own a couple of 18mm Omega deployants for my watches since 20mm to 18mm is more common to find an OEM strap at the boutique vs having to order a custom made 20 to 16.

Or get some Bob strap from Waccex. They look pretty identical the the louisiana fullcut stuff from Omega but it will cost one_tenth of the original one.

My clear recommodation for everyone who destroys 2-3 leather strap over the season as a heavy wrist sweating guy 🙁
These are the three interations of the BOB strap

Original vs copy

In front two original straps beyond 3x BOBs

Cheers,

Winny

good catch, i measured and yes it is 16mm, that would have been an annoying miss, I realised its my GS deployant thats 18mm.

3861 Deployants are definitely 16mm.
1861 deployants are mixed between 16 and 18mm

I'm just a bit loathe to have to buy a second deployant, they have very few options in 20/16
