Anybody with smaller wrist mind sharing your wrist size with a pic? I’m 5.75” so wondering if this will fit well.

·Glad to see the 38 getting some love. I could never pull off the original Moonwatch. A great watch, history, etc, but doesn't fit my wrist. This watch will be the ticket for many

·I've been wearing this watch for a few months now and can report the following:
While I got the 38 because of the size, there is another important distinction between the 38 and the professional. The 38 is quite a bit more dressy than the speedy pro. It's not a dress watch per se, but It's also not a casual tool watch. It's somewhere in between. It has a lot more polished surfaces and reflective angles - to the point of being quite an eye catcher. I like this quality, but I could imagine others won't. I see this watch as more comparable to the aqua terra 38, or even a rolex dj (though it is much thicker than the dj).
It's a very comfortable watch, but a bit top heavy. I like the bracelet a lot, but I also wear the watch on a variety of leather straps. I love it!

·Sadly the bracelet does not have any adjustment (unless you call removing or adding links adjustment), not even half links. Either it fits or it doesn't.
I was hopeful that I could get the bracelet to a comfortable adjustment, sadly, that was not to be, and dislike the clasp, so, as I did to my Speedmaster Professional, (I can wear the bracelet in cold months) I added an Omega deployant leather strap, which has proven quite comfortable. The 38mm is a bit "dressier" and i would have preferred a face with no gloss and white stick hands, however, I've grown to appreciate the similarities over the differences. I wear it almost daily and switch to the Speedy for occasions that are more formal and social (as of late, not so often!) Overall a delightful, comfortable and very accurate timepiece.

·Update for this group...especially since I bought the Speedmaster 38. Unfortunately, haven't gotten many chances to wear it during this period of time, but still get it on the wrist every once in awhile. I was browsing other forums and was looking for a more casual, sporty watch (have the rep Racing 40mm as daily beater) and finally pulled the trigger on the 3513.53 Mark40/Date, Japanese market. While the Speedmaster 38 is a great watch, the Mark40/Date really makes me happy.
I read about good/bad experiences with Tourneau, but they made this purchase easy. Not sure if the bracelet is original and polished, or is new. I also think the crystal was replaced, and it looks more spherical than some of the originals I came by + appears flush with the inside edge of the bezel. Lumes are very faint even after being exposed to a day of sunlight. I did know about the nick on the bezel between the 9 and 10 hands. If anyone can visually pick out anything else interesting, would be much appreciated - Tourneau skirted around the "servicing" of the watch, saying they only made sure they updated it to their standards and Omega's standard operating variance..the two year warranty does give me some piece of mind (I do understand its limited) and if I should go over to my local recommended watch servicer to have them do a thorough check, that is something I'm willing to pay for.

·This watch has really been going up in price on grey market. Used to be under 3.5k, now at least 4K.
I tried on at AD. Just don’t like the notches in bezel, high polish, and rhodium hands. And it’s just too thick. And I don’t like the date adjustment. I’d rather have a speedy reduced, which you can still get for around 3k in decent condition.
actually, the new 2021 moonwatches, while still 42mm, are thinner and wear smaller than the 1861/63. But if you still think the moon watch is too large for your wrist, I’d take a 38mm el Primero over this 38mm speedy. Or an old reduced, despite the outdated movement.

·After a long time lusting after an Omega watch- I finally took the plunge, to mark my 40th birthday last year, with one of these Speedmaster 38s :-D
I absolutely love it so far.
Timekeeping wise it’s gaining around 5-10 seconds per day, having worn it every day since I got it- does that seem reasonable? It’s fine for me, but this is my first automatic mechanical watch, so no idea how that compares.
The lume is rubbish- I’m lucky if I get more than 15 minutes after leaving it in sunlight for a few hours, but again that seems consistent with what I’ve read elsewhere?
Next up some straps maybe. I’d like an omega black alligator on deployment clasp to dress it up a bit.
Maybe a nato too. Anyone fitted the Omega 19mm nato on the 18mm lugs? Better to go with an 18mm strap from 3rd party manufacturer?!
Great, underrated watch. I got mine in 2020 and it's steadily gone from my "good/special" watch to my daily companion. I love it more every day. I have a 6.5" wrist, so it's perfect. In my experience, chronographs don't have a lot of lume anyway, but yeah, it could be better. I've put a third party 18mm nato on mine and even a third party bracelet and they're okay, but no other strap beats the OEM bracelet for comfort.
My Speedy 38 gains just under 2 seconds per day. If the 5-10 bothers you, you can have it regulated. I think anything over +6 is over the COSC spec, so Swatch Group support might even do it as part of the warranty service.
