Hi.

This is for sale on chrono. I really want a tritium speedmaster, the sapphire caseback is a plus, the 1863 movement is also a plus. My understanding is that these tritium 3572.50s are tougher to find.

Negatives: it's pricier than what I originally wanted to spend (i can get 3590.50 instead and lose the caseback and movement but less concerned on the movement since I can't see it).
It's in Japan and retail. I have to pay shipping, taxes, import fees etc. This will raise the price 10% to 15% most likely.

Ask
What are your thoughts on the watch itself. Do the hands look original? The color match isn't exact but it looks to me like the probably are.. if not please educate me as to how I should be able to tell. The condition looks solid to me but I'm a novice at best. Do you think the price is reasonable at $4,300? Seems like a good deal from what I've researched, except the extra fees... any feedback on the watch is the primary guidance in looking for and would really appreciate. I can link to it but wanted to make this easier.

Thank you.

The bezel seems to be wrong for a 3572.50, should be a B5.

IMO it’s an average watch at an average price. The case shows signs of polishing, and though the dial and Chrono hand have a pleasing patina, I’m 50/50 on the hour and minute hands being luminova (hard to tell from the photos provided).

Please keep in mind that a purchase such as this is highly subjective. If tritium lume and a display case back are features you’re looking for, have you considered a 3592.50? A decent example is a similar price, and as a bonus they feature a gilt movement and a nicer bracelet (IMO).

That said, if this watch really speaks to you, you prefer its features to other references, and you’re OK with the price, only you can determine if it’s “the one”.

I appreciate the feedback. I am also looking at 3592.50s. Haven't found one yet but will continue to hunt. I did find a 3590.50 i like but I'm started to lean toward the display backs... though not certain.

I'd buy a bottle of wine or whisky to anyone that can help me find a quality watch. I need a guide lol.
