Hi everyone, first post here. I'm looking into picking up a Speedmaster, and I'm trying to decide between the 3570.50 and the current model, the 311.30.42.30.01.006 (or 311.30.42.30.01.005, not sure of the difference). From what I've read, the 3570.50 is very highly regarded, and is now starting to be considered a more collectible version. I've also read that there's no difference between the 3570.50 and the 311.30.42.30.01.006, other than the bracelet using screws rather than pins. If I'm able to get a nice pre-owned version of either watch, is there any major reason to choose one over the other? Any real reason why the 3570.50 would actually be more valuable or collective in the coming years? Appreciate the help and advice!
as @STANDY has eloquently stated/explained before https://omegaforums.net/threads/why-the-3750-50-speedmaster-reference.52395/#post-634342
Thank you both! One other thing I've come across... seems like the model is sometimes referred to as 3570.50 and sometimes 3570.50.00. Are these actually different, or is 3570.50 just shortened naming?
3570 technically is the previous model reference. The one reference refer to the update done to the watch (screw link bracelet, presentation box with accessories). The watch itself should pretty much be the same except for the serial number
