For sale is a rare 1st edition of 1000 watches made 1985-1988 and delivered to Germany and Austria only. These are one of the hardest Speedmasters to find with a copper 863 and numbered lug. This batch all have a serial of 48,169,00-48,169,999 and come on a 1447/805 or 1450/808, this has the lesser seen 1447. It has the lowest production run in the '1980s Trilogy' alongside the 345.0809 'Speedymoon' (estimated 1300) and the 376.0822 'Holy Grail' (estimated 2000). The watch is in good condition for +35 years and has a lovely vanilla patina to the unmarked dial. Any scratches seen in the photos are on the plexi and not the dial. Serial: 48,169, 098 Caliber: C1 copper 863 decorated with Geneva Stripes. Case: Type B1 with engraved lug at 12, number 0326. Dial: Type C3 tritium with spaced T's in T SWISS MADE T. Hands: Type C2 Baton and Flat. Crown: Type A3 Wide 24 tooth. Pushers: Type 4 Wide and Tall. Bracelet: 1447/805. To consider: Everything on the watch is correct apart from the bezel. Bezel: It has later B6 DB70 from <2004, it should have a B2 DNN 1970-90. These are easily found and fitted. Casbeack: Type D1 Numbered. Unfortunately the light engraving has been worn and the 4 digits cannot be seen. The watch has been owned by me for the last 2-3 years and was bought from a UK Collector.
