Hacked account.
I report these listing all the time, watches, cars, motorcycle listings all have similar tactics.
Very annoying.

This is coming back every Saturday on another hacked account with a ton of other watch listings (Heuer, Tudor, Rolex, JLC...).

Always the same tactics. Always the same pictures. They don’t have the watches. Their only goal is to have you read their trap pictures:

And get in touch outside eBay / ask you for a bank wire.

The only thing that changes all the time is the email address / domain they use.

I am wondering how much cash they make per weekend with this scam scheme.

It’s also very frustrating to see how long eBay needs to take down all the reported listings and block the hacked account. Sometimes it takes a day 🤦

I have seen it to. But when I tried to report these, the option/link doesn´t work. I have tried different browsers - strange indeed.
Ideas anyone?

I have that as well. Perhaps something to do with adblockers/pop-up killers?

That image has appeared in more than a dozen listings over the past week or two, under different seller names, on the US eBay site. Clearly a scam and reported as such. eBay has taken them down pretty fast I have to say - probably drew multiple reports from OF alone.

I have no trouble reporting these. I don’t bother anymore though—whoever is doing it is too prolific and I can’t spare the time anymore.

I do wonder how they keep getting away with it. Perhaps someone who k owe how computer systems are hacked can explain it.,.

I think eBay has at some point had a data breach. This scammer clown simply has a multitude of logins and passwords. Every couple of weeks he fires up his computer, runs a bunch of these auctions and hopes for the best.

The hacking occurs when you get a fake email from eBay to your email account stating something like “your account has been compromised” “A buyer wants to return an item” “a payment has been put on hold” etc.
Without thinking many have logged into their account through the link in the scam message then the scammer has their password.
You can usually see business accounts affected by hackers due to the sellers email is visible or easily found.
I could sit on eBay and instantly zapp 100s of accounts and fake items each week, which begs the question... why the f@*k can’t eBay employ someone who can do it too?

🍿

You should have fun with him. Tell him you’ll meet his friend in the US and pick it up in person at his facility. Tell him you’ll pay his friend (or whoever would supposedly ship on his behalf) $3200 in cash 😜
