Very interesting example. Looks pretty good to me, the case from the Chronometer version with special lugs. EoA would be necessary to determine what exactly it is. 18 jewels should state " special adjustment" .... Regulated in 4 positions possibly. Dial might not have the anodised , but printed Non Magnetic script. Late movement with shock protection. I thought long about that, but have too many from that period.... The price leaves some room for errors as well. eBay item : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/284864091880?hash=item42533916e8:g:vPoAAOSw9YtisL5t . Us$ 1500...... Erich ? Did you bid on that one ? Mods pls. Add pictures from the listing, I'm on my phone and have no idea, how to do this. Kind regards. Achim

@watchyouwant, hi Achim this watch was on my radar and I intended to bid but the price was a bit too high in the end for my location (US taxes plus additional 20% import VAT in Austria), so I gave it a pass. It was in good condition except some re-lume of some numerals, but this may be expected on a watch of this age. Movement looked very clean indeed.

The price is within realistic range for this condition and if you are a US buyer (not for oversea-consumers who have to pay additional import charges)

Some corrections to your thoughts:

its not a Techron but a ref. 2337 (same case as 2254), a Techron looks quite different and is a ref. 2242
and it was not for the RCAF,
its still not clear who ordered this 18J model, maybe Canadian Railway company

EoA would be necessary to determine what exactly it is. Would turn out to be a ref. 2337 (although Hoi still does not believe 😜)

No this model does not.

Dial might not have the anodised , but printed Non Magnetic script. Its an original dial with Non Magnetic script also anodised.

Something about the "Omega Non Magnetic" looks a bit off. Text appears thick and rotated relative to the rest of the dial. Another example (Photo from @Bill Sohne)
