Another sale to regret, but here goes. I have something else on the boil and reluctantly something has to go with the only option being one of my 2998-5's. Serial number and equipment other than the sub dial hands are true to the model. I do not know the service history but all works as it should and winds smoothly. The movement is clean as can be seen in the pics. The subdial hands are the alpha hands (very hard to come by and happy to swap if you wish) which should have finished on the 2998-4, they look like they have always been on the watch and I have been loathe to change them to the later type. Anyway here are the pics. If you want more, let me know what you want in particular and I can organise. I am requesting 15K USD but I am negotiable so if you have what you consider to be a fair offer please PM me. The photos are very high res and portray the watch in reality. I have tried to take enough to provide a very clear indication of the condition of the watch. Cheers
You must have something serious on the boil, between - this, - this: https://omegaforums.net/threads/longines-conquest-18k-9025-14.26627/ - this: https://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-2913-3.26519/ and - what you've just sold me!
If I thought there was a chance of finding a -1 and -2, I'd start a hunt for the whole set. Beautiful watch. Best of luck. There will be a happy buyer here soon!
I know this an unconventional view but I think daggers are OK this "late". I also believe they are OK on the 105.002 (even more unconventional view?), as I have come across several examples. I think Omega were using up the parts already in stock and getting rid of the daggers when they could before standardizing to all-sticks with the 105.003 and onwards. Just my own opinions and GLWTS on that gorgeous Speedy! T.
