For your consideration is this unique Speedmaster 20th Anniversary with special dial - Full Set
Sold by Mitsukoshi in 1989 with a rhodium silver dial and black hands. Very rare and unique.
Reference 145.022
Case - Asymmetrical, sharp and never polished. Case shows little wear. Engraved Apollo XI 1969
Dial – Unusual silver dial from what looks to be BC345.0802 no “T”, Stepped like the pre-’72 dials.
Hands – Black matte – no Tritium
Bezel - Original perfect – see pics
Bracelet – The “Grail” bracelet 1450/808 perfect condition, all links, no stretch
Movement - Omega Cal 861 recently serviced, keeping perfect time.
Accessories – Original wood inner and outer boxes, Numbered Certificate Booklet, Mitsukoshi Guarantee Booklet, 861 Operation manual, First Lunar Landing jacket patch, Velcro Strap
Remarks – Mitsukoshi is known for its special panda dialed Speedmasters. The MWO book page 461 discusses “dial projects” sold since 1971 and shows these dials specifically as possibly being left over from 1980 ref BC345.0802. Omega is known to do dial specials with Meister, Turler, and Mitsukoshi too.
