Having spotted this shot of one of the 1970's NASA space shuttle prototypes I am going to try it on a TF black/orange NATO which looks very similar to the Omega strap pictured Note the slightly different wording on the dial that denotes that it is a prototype model - no backlight. The display has been painted with Tritium and the calibre is a 1621 as opposed to the usual 1620. Twelve pieces were given to NASA in 1978, they passed all tests and flew on a number of shuttle missions.
Its been some time since any adjustment to the time display Here is a pic taken next to two atomic synched G Shocks OK, I know its quartz but that's still impressive in my book
Whilst searching the internet earlier I came across these two NASA prototypes - auctioned by Christies in December 2015 the pair went for $47,500 (£38,624) https://www.fratellowatches.com/christies-speedmaster-50-auction-report/
There's some more info on these on the Omega website here: https://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/60th-anniversary-speedmaster/index.html
