Hi everyone, I introduce you one Speedmaster ref. 145012-67 with rare prototype dial called Racing (or Exotic) These dials are made by Omega and never offered for sale, except to a very few dealers ( I saw only Meister with a racing dial ) These dials for different reasons have not been produced at that time on Speedmaster, but after a few years they have been created with the same setting (for example on Mark 2) There are 3 types of Racing dials : - Black with red / white indexes, without professional written, oval O in Omega written, red / white hands, swiss made on the dial, applied logo, normal counters ......even if the characteristics are preceding I saw 2/3 speedmaster with this reference 145012-67 cal. 321 - Black with red / white indexes, with professional written, round O in Omega written, red / white hands, t swiss made t, printed logo, small counters ...... mostly ref. 145012-68 cal. 321 - Grey with orange / white indexes, with professional written. round O in Omega written, orange / white hands, t swiss made t, printed logo, normal counters ...... ref. 145022-69 cal. 861 These are the main features ... there are also several particular Here is my 145012/67 Thanks for reading
Intriguing. Is this in MWO? If so I really need to get my hands on a copy and read up... Going by the nomenclature for 145.012s though, I thought these would be tritium dials and hence t swiss made t, logically? And ditto for spear rather than square sweep seconds? Does anyone have a handy explanation for such oddities (aside from them being prototype).
Believe me, with Omega often discover original but strange details ... The beauty of the vintage !!! For example : swiss made dials mounted in the period of t swiss made t shorts indexes in the period of long indexes O oval in periods of O round etc. etc. ......
For ref. 145012 Racing dials there are " swiss made " dials and " t swiss made t " dials - No Professional Racing dials have " swiss made " - Professional Racing dials have " t swiss made t "
Just perfect ! Another one from your fabulous collection! I bet the next one you will present to us will be the Apollo Soyuz
