Speedmaster 145.022 with Mark II dial?

Saw an odd watch in a local shop window recently, a 70s Speedmaster Professional (my guess is a 145.022) with a Mark II dial, but in the regular Moonwatch case. The dial had some pleasant patina, and certainly didn't appear to be refinished. Any other possibility other than someone swapping the original dial for a Mark II? Will a Mark II dial fit in that case?

Sorry, I didn't get a picture. It appeared to be the same dial as the one on this watch.
