Speedmaster 105003 - What was the original finish of the lugs??

Hi all!

As we know, Speedmaster symmetrical cases have lugs featuring three surfaces: lateral side, small bevel and top face. My question is: what was the original finish of these three surfaces? I am pretty sure that the lateral side was brushed and the top face was, instead, polished; but what about the small bevel?

Many thanks!

See the little lines in the attached pictures from your link above, I think they point in the "brushed" direction..

Also, in approx. a month time I'll have direct access to an Ed White which I believe to be fully unpolished and coming from the original owner. I'll post detailed pictures of those bevels 😀

Where is that last pic from? That has seen some serious wear.

Be aware that Ed Whites have at least 2 different lug profiles so this could differ from model to model. Mine is a -65. This is polished on top then brushed on the bevel and side, same as Eugene's:
