Hi first time looking at a vintage Speedmaster and really need some help... I have been offered this: Ref. 105.003.65 Cal. 321 Serial / number on the movement: 22088543 I have been told that the hands maybe off and I can’t figure out the dial, should it be a “two liner” or is the text around the logo time correct? What is a watch like this, in this conditioning worth and is it at all correct? Thanks in advance // Simon
This has an edit- immediately obvious serious issue that signals the need to delve deeper and be on red alert for signs of a put together. http://speedmaster101.com/105-003/
Try to find a copy of "Moonwatch Only - 60 years of Omega Speedmaster". A lot of info in the book to better understand speedmasters.
A disparate collection of parts from 4 or more different models of watch. If priced and sold as such it is fine. As a whole, not so much. The bracelet is valuable, more so maybe than any other single part there.
Agree with preceding comments, didn’t look right and had to dig out MWO to confirm. However there are some worthwhile parts, bracelet looks good and the bezel and case back are in better nick than those on mine! It would be interesting to know how much is being asked for it?
Interesting to see the head being sold with the bracelet given the value of the 7912 with 6 end links. As others have said all comes down to the price.
Yes what is the asking price? Although it's a can of worms jumbled up in a ball, if the price is low it might be worth buying for the worms only...
Hi Yes, the watch was quite cheap, hence my doubt about buying it! I know it is not for the purist, but i love the look I will make a post when I get home with a lot of pictures ! Thanks a lot with the help and guidance // Simon
