In doing business with Pete, aka Mr.
@Barking mad , I personally felt that the quality of his collection added a worthy price premium to his offerings. In fact, I did not own a single vintage straight lug Seamaster 300, nor had I done much research, before he listed this 2913-3 for sale (all original watch except for redone bezel). It was "gone in 60 seconds" as my rational was if Barking is selling, I'm buying.

Later, Pete had (at least) a double dose of life changes as he developed a yearning for both 18k gold BA145 Speedmasters and a new bride. This led to Speedmaster offerings and I was fortunate to aquire his 2998-2 with ghost base 1000 bezel. FYI, this watch had been sold to a former owner at the infamous Omegamania auction of 2007.

Most recently, Pete sold me his Ed White, very early 105.003-63, with asymmetrical TTs on the dial, alpha hands and the coolest of all ghost bezels. BTW, Pete had a strong argument supporting his theory that this Speedie's alpha hands were indeed original.

Lastly, as the market for quality vintage Speedies and Diver Seamasters continues to try up, I was fortunate to aquire these three examples from the Barking Mad collection. Other members have similar great pieces like the OP 105.002-62. (Stupidly, I didn't agree to Pete's ask price on that one)
Regrettably, there is a downside to the sale of much of Barking's vintage collection. Pete is no longer a regular contributor on vintage threads and all members, especially the newer ones, are missing his valuable insight.
