You've done well there, I think. I really like the hands and the step dial is nice and crisp. For some reason, you see the odd -71 show up for sale and it's almost impossible to tell if it has a step or not.

Update to my buy at McTear's.

Ordered Pahawi's case opener via info on Speedmaster101 and it worked beautifully. After a little resistance the case slowly unscrewed. What an asset to anyone's watch tool collection. It was immediately obvious that the rotten gasket was the issue. However I wasn't prepared for the utter goosebumps when I removed the dust cap to see a movement that looked like it had left the workshop yesterday, not 45 years ago.
I'm not a watchmaker so if you spot something glaring , do point it out but it'll be off to Essex soon for some pampering.
