·So those of you who have been following my journey through Omega Speedmasters will know I have added an awful lot very quickly. I only had one in December! The lastest was picked up today from a local jeweller here in Manhattan. He had a couple of Mk3s but this one has the crispiest cleanest case so I opted for it. I got the Mk2 from him too. Not my ideal dial and bezel combo. What do forum members think about a change of colour? Should I keep it original as per Archive extract or go for another combo - I rather like the midnight blue version. Engraving to back says 1977 and serial number would concur. It needs a really good service and is not running great but it does fill a gap in the lineup. If anyone knows a reasonably priced service person for these movements and the 861 calibers then please PM me. Either in England or here in Manhattan.
Too many late nights feeding the baby ( but massive Brownie points for a would-be collector) has lead to an influx of Omegas...all part of the pension plan as I explain to my wonderful understanding wife. Anyway, pics to follow. Comments always appreciated.
