That starburst finish on case is wonderful. Such a shame to leave it in the box but I know where you're coming from

They did fantastic work on my 4.5 , laser welded a huge ding and then brushed case to look as new. Can't praise Rocco highly enough.

If that were the original finish, MAYBE keep it in the box. But since it has already been redone (and VERY nicely), I would wear away.

I love my pristine Racing MkII and I wear it when I can - just be careful when doing so,wear long sleeves when moving around and you'll be fine ;)

Not a racing dial but I thought I’d chime in and say I paid $1500 for mine.

Please take it out of the box & let it live a little , it's already been polished & in 5-10 years you can always do the same . Mine is not perfect by a country mile but even it it was I would still wear it . image.jpeg image.jpeg

448718-504e2d1ce3f4cefd918c91af1599ed2d.jpg This one had some issues, but at $778 (on original bracelet), worth a risk. Now $1200 all in. IMHO, current market now closer to $2k. 448718-504e2d1ce3f4cefd918c91af1599ed2d.jpg

A Mark ii racing dial is on my list. If anyone is thinking of letting theirs go, send me a PM.

I did a WTB post here and it worked. Also did a WTB a few years back and picked up an Ed White. Go OF. Enablers helping Enablers.

A WTB post will be appearing within a few weeks. Just tossed it out there in this thread since it was about this specific watch. It's like OF knows I want one!

    That's a good looking watch @Taddyangle!

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread.
