    hello,

the Oscillating weight of my cal 561 constellation 14393ref needs to be exchanged. The watch makes terrible noise.

How can i find a spare part?

    Many thanks.

If the weight is scraping on the case back or on the movement, then you need to take this to a watchmaker. Most likely the weight does not have to be replaced - the pinion can be replaced so the weight no longer flops around. But usually when the weight is this bad, there are other problems in the movement that need to be addressed.

If your rotor looks the same as this one (center axle hole design)

Can use the rotor from the following calibers

550, 551, 552, 560 and 562. as these are from regular movements. Won't pay a premium for a connie part.

If not the same. May be the wrong one (same design, but face is flat - 2nd image)

Hello, you should first have a check by a watchmaker. A friend has the same problem with a 565 (Seamster 120), he fixed it without changing the oscillator.

As I've said, the pinion can be replaced without having to replace the whole rotor. The problem is that the inner diameter of the pinion is worn, and it allows too much play in the rotor, like this:

Pinion has the teeth on it as it is a gear, but it is also a bushing at the same time:

The old pinion is pressed out:

    This is the new one:

It fits in the hole in the rotor shown here:

    It's pressed in place:

It then has to be reamed to the correct size:

And now ready to be cleaned and fitted to the axle:

The entire process only takes a few minutes for any skilled watchmaker.
