So, do we believe this new 2020 extract confirms Omega have taken a stance on

"If you would like a separate letter stating that De Marchi were authorised to modifywatches for the Italian market we are happy to do so".

(beetleguess)

right, you really hit the point. What does OMEGA want to tell us with this new Extract d'Archive ???
It is not enough! OMEGA cannot "fix" it by "accepting" the De Marchi now. it is impossible that OMEGA took care of assembling 400 official pieces with casebacks engraved casually (209, 132, 333, etc ..) and the De Marchi have casually engraved the remaining 100 pieces (461, 416, this 468 etc...).... this could be seen as a big change of direction but the truth is that OMEGA didn’t explain how De Marchis were able to engrave progressive casebacks!

that's quite enough of that, thank you. We don't need to go round your issues with Omega again.

see dear friend ... much of the information that people like you have been able to read about this rare Omega watch are also known thanks to me. so you, in a way, know who I am and what I did. this is called passion and the latter, at times, could lead to a form of anger if the responses I received ... don't make sense.
Omega's change of direction is epochal, evidently new elements have emerged from the Omega Archives that have led Mr. Petros Protopaps to analyze more carefully the doubts that many collectors, like me, have asked to take into consideration.
sometimes intelligence and common sense can overcome any kind of problem.
stay safe

Luckily, we have a few passionate forum-members who have whispered a few important facts into the ears of the Omega Heritage team...
Anno 2020, we're seeing the first "results" of , what some of us, consider valuable historic Omega inputs... but there're still open questions, especially for those of us who sit on a stack of time period documents & photographs... witnessing facts we'll gradually bring forward in printed articles !
