I’m sure everyone has (at least) one in this category.
For me, new to watch collecting, money a little tighter and coveting a watch - and loving it - but then my head was turned and this has since spent more time in the drawer than on my wrist 😳

That is the third one of seen recently. They are nice looking. I like how Oris does the date. I don’t think I’d forget that one but I know what you mean it does happen.

It is a nice watch but I bought it’s ‘sister’, which I date much more often. I feel like a two timer ..

Life changes … For me active retirement. I’m wearing a fraction of my collection these days. Starting to feel like a hoarder.

Very nice. I really like the work on the texture of the dial. What’s the size?

I think both complement each other very nicely.

Thanks. These are both 7543 models with 40mm cases. The white dial has a raised guilloche design.

Oh gosh. That’s a lot more than I expected. The crown must be massive!

The original Oris Big Crown, which appeared in the 1930s, was designed to be used by aviators and the crown was oversized so that it could be wound without the pilot removing the leather gloves worn in those days

Oris pointer dates are so great, I just wish the modern models were as nice as the older ones. My dad wore one every day when I was growing up before succumbing to the Apple watch. To me it is close to the wristwatch platonic ideal.

I must admit to lusting after one for years, one came up recently with a very unusual dial scheme that was very intriguing but one I knew was not a classic styling so in the end I didn't bite though it was considerably cheap, well under half market value as the seller didn't really know what he had. It would have became a closet queen.

Here’s an older one I had very small around 32 mm I think.
