It is true. One one hand you have 8 bids and $61.

On the next you have 1 bid and $4.99 馃槑

May be that I'm just daft, but...huh?
Not sure what you're saying. I am curious though. I was watching this and not planning to bid (and did not bid). Seemed like one of those things I would want some day, and the price didn't seem horrendously high. I admit however that I have not pursued similar items and do not really know their market value.

how does it work?
If you mean the calendar, you wrap it around the bracelet of your watch. There are several photos of astronauts wearing their civilian Speedmaster with a calendar wrapped onto their aftermarket JB Champion bracelets. Therefore these examples from the period of US space exploration are very desirable.

This make sense to you guys?

Steve used a good quote above that I used to have in a signature on another forum. Allow me to use another quote from that former signature to answer your question:

"There is no logic in this hobby, none at all. Surrender your sanity at the front door; satisfaction goes to the highest bidder." - Ozy, 3/10/2010
