··Omega Qualified WatchmakerJust as a comparison for price point, when Bulova reissued the Spaceview in 2010 for the 50th anniversary (using old movement parts to build new movements with for the watch I believe) they were asking $4k for a SS version.
So a $4k Accutron is certainly not unheard of. I was seriously considering one at the time, but again parts availability is an issue with these...not something I want to deal with long term.
Not a yellow gold guy myself, so the one at auction now has no interest for me...

·That bracelet look very nice!!!! I picked up a Accutron in a lot of watches but has issues second hand is rotating but hour hands don't run after a hour or so🙁

·I know everyone hates gold (and all commodities) right now but I guess this would sort of be like the Rolex 18k day-date Oysterquartz. The Rolex in-house design team has claimed on multiple occasions that it's the aesthetically the best looking watch Rolex has ever produced.
Fun fact: The 18k Day date oysterquartz is the rarest Rolex ever produced. Fewer than 1000 were built.
More ultimate rare Rolex is the WG version. It's estimated only a 75 to 100 were ever made.
Nobody wants a battery Rolex, even back then in '79 / '80.
I noticed a mint+ full set YG hammered at 15k @ a recent auction which I believe was a record. now I'm waiting to see how a WG will fare...?
