At first glance, I agree. But on inspection, Not so cheap.
Wrong bezel, very tired, possibly wrong dial, wrong clutch bridge.
Nice triangle lume hands, nice lollipop.
    Chewed case....
It has problems, I think it went for the right price.
The big turnoff being the clutch bridge from a later movement indicating a lot of assembly going on there...

Looks like incorrect T in front of the swiss made. So, wrong dial and wrong bezel.

Where's the T in the dial? Bezel is wrong, but hands and dial seem correct and rare. Interesting piece but with some issues.

Well, if you need a lolli, then maybe the rest can be overlooked.

A balance complete is a balance complete, right?

I think the dial, while worn, is correct. However, it looks like the outside tip of the lollipop is broken off.

my daily searches missed this one b/c the of title: "2298". A 2998 with lollipop tops my want-list, but i would've passed on this one. just too many issues for my preference.

In addition to what others have identified, the tail of chrono hand looks a little bent to me and the crown from a service. having trouble finding fault with the dial though. That bridge was a very nice catch, @Spacefruit . I would have missed that. Always learning...

I missed that one too.... I would have taken it for this price. Sure I agree with most here - there are issues.
The clutch would not bother me too much - after all it's a watch of age 50+ - so there are pieces replaced (every old car has parts replaced....). The clutch could be replaced (if you have spare seamasters tu butcher.....;-). The rest of the movement looks to me quite nice (but I am not a watchmaker to who can assess this properly).
The Bezel should be replaced but there's a DON in the parts bin, that could be done (and would be fine for a 2998-3)
The dial and hands seem like they have aged together... (ok quite heavy patinated - but to me it's somehow attractive).
And this lollipop...... these are very hard to come by - I do not see many opportunities popping up to get one of these....
If I would have spotted it I would have put the button¨

The dial was in very poor shape, and had long indices on the subdials and a pronounced step.

    The lollipop itself is interesting.

The clutch bridge is a big red flag against the entire watch originality, to me.

All I am saying is that I am not sad to have missed it.

i must add that thanks to Achim I have a lovely example of a lollipop.

Is there any reference Speedmaster that you don't have a lovely example of?

    Yep - loads.
Funnily enough some that you would have thought were not that hard
For example a 2998-5. (there are others)
Here is the ex-Achim lollipop. . Its a 2998-4 so long indices on the subdials.Note the vintage bezel, not modern. Also note the dial step, which is seen in -4 onward and in some -3's:
