Does anyone see anything very odd about this dial?

There is something very specifically off about the dial..

    might be the pictures...

but to me there is something that should not be there until after 1977. Which makes no sense as 872 service dials don’t exist.

So I see a dial step and a pre-76 style small "S". The S looks like it has a flat bottom but I think that's artifacting.

Okay... 1977 is the C3 dial, but it is a flat one, and this one is a step one... So I guess I'm not on the right way... ::screwloose::

    It's clearly not a short S.
    It is a medium S, correct for a C1...
So I guess it's not the point...

It looks like a tall S to me, not a small S which would be correct. The bottom of the S hits the bottom of the p

This is a C1, with a medium S. To me, it is the same of the pic 1. But of course, a better pic would be better to compare... 20201113_204300.jpg

Which would also make it the only example of that I’ve ever seen.

Indeed it looks weird. Looking at this first picture, I would be very careful; the hour hand looks a bit short (Mk II?) and quite bright. Perhaps it is due to the pictures, but attractive isn't the first word that springs to mind regardless.

it is just hard to tell as the pictures are so dreadful. Something else that’s bothering me...does it look to anyone else like the proportions of the dial are off (too small print, too large subdials)? Again it could just be the pictures or this could be a complete mutant
