I almost pulled the trigger on one of these a while back... I know @cicindela has a nice collection of them...
Hello! New here, but I just bought this one: http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/qjQAAOSw5dNWiB4P/s-l1600.jpg http://www.ebay.com/itm/191773314379Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I'm new here, but I probably have 80 Omega watches of various flavors.
Ok, wait a second @mstecker ... you've got EIGHTY Omegas, but it took a Seamonster to get you to join and post!? Welcome, and I for one would love to hear more about your collection.
Isn't that crazy? I'm not with my collection now, but what started me was a Cosmic 2000 diver many years ago. It was since stolen, and I spent years trying to find a suitable replacement. Finally did and had it totally restored in Bienne. Other of my watches include (in no order): - Tuning fork chronometer in original flightmaster case that I also had completely restored in Switzerland. The money in this is crazy, but I love it. - Pre-coaxial 300m automatic with sword hands and helium valve - 3 different Chronostops including one white dial 'sideways' - Stainless / Rose gold first gen Aqua Terra - Lots of pocket watches - A few early trench watches - Lots of dynamics (men and ladies - my daughter likes them) - A few classic pie-pan Constellations in steel and Gold - A quartz 'claw' Constellation with seal of royal family of Bahrain - Speedy Mark II - A few vintage solid gold dress watches - Lots of early quartz and tuning fork watches - I have a fondness for the period where these were expensive and were finished expensively - I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of interesting pieces. I've been meaning to join the forum forever, and when I saw the post saying "Hey, I almost bought that Sea Monster", I had to chime in. Looking forward to participating!
@mstecker Welcome. That sounds like a nice rainbow of flavors. Feel free to put some pictures up of your monster and friends. We like pictures. Yes my precious
