Solved! No country code on my warranty card..

Hi all,

hope you guys are having a nice weekend!

I have purchased a Bond edition SMP 300M from my local AD yesterday, and I didn't realise there is no country code listed on my warranty until I got back home. Does it a matter? Should I go back to the AD?

Here are some pics for my new purchase. It's actually a very nice watch and it's my first Omega.

You have documentation from Wallace Bishop (Hardy Bros) one of Australia's largest and most well respected outlets, I can't see a problem.

I don’t think mine had a country code either, so I can’t see an issue there.

It’s interesting that it comes from Hardy Bros’ Head Office, and not one of their stores. As their Brisbane store is situated directly opposite the newish OB I was told that they couldn’t sell Omega there any more.

No issues. Nice watch.

My Ultraman was sold by Crown Casino in Melbourne and the Warranty card has NO country code. Seems somewhat normal for Australian sold watches.

That's right.
Hardy bros lost the Omega franchise in Brisbane, coinsiding with the opening of the OB across the road.
Understandable really.
I heard the unsold Brisbane stock was transferred to the Good Coast, Pacific Fair store.

Very interesting about the address on the Warranty card and it probably reflects on the state of flux around the current Omega retail situation in South East Queensland.
I was never aware of Wallace Bishop acquiring Hardy bros until now.

Agreed.
It's irrelevant really.
My warranty card has no country code listed either which is also understandable as the OB is listed as Princess Cruises.

Oh well, that's an interesting news to know. I'm in Melbourne and the distance between HB and the OB is also very close, like 200m. I'm glad the HB here sells Omega, otherwise i couldn't get my watch, the OB didn't put me on the list due to I didn't make any purchase from them.

There's an AD and an OB in Saigon across the street from each other, so that doesn't seem to be a universally-applied corporate policy. I was planning to price-comparison shop, but when the OB staff ran across the street to fetch the Seamaster I was interested in from the AD I knew that wouldn't be possible. (Very nice OB staff, as usual, but I wound up buying pre-owned online)
