Hi, when did Omega introduce solid end links and solid links in general to their collection? Which reference was the first to be equipped with solid bracelets?

I asked ChatGPT and that’s what it answered:

Omega introduced solid end links and solid links in the mid-1990s. The transition from hollow to solid links and end links aimed to improve the durability and feel of their watches. The Omega Seamaster Professional 300M (reference 2531.80.00), often associated with James Bond in the movie "GoldenEye" (1995), is one of the first models known to have been equipped with solid end links and solid bracelet links. This model played a significant role in popularizing the use of solid links in Omega's collections.

I don’t know if that’s the truth , but sounds pretty 😗😟

Not sure that’s the desired answer, but aren’t the endlinks of solid gold 7077s (late 50s) also kinda solid? They only have the tube for the spring bars, which, admittedly, given their size make the endlink seem pretty hollow. But there’s no extra space in there I believe.

I don’t have my MWO book in front of me, but both the 1450/808 & 1447/805 bracelets came out in the 80’s. They have solid endlinks. There are several Speedy references you can find these bracelets on: 345.0808, 345.0809, 345.0022, and a specific 145.022.
