WatchWalker
·End of last year I purchased myself a Speedmaster CK2988 Pulsometer. One of my friends, who’s totally not into watches, was strongly impressed by the watch and immediately ordered a similar one, only to hear that they were sold out. About one month later he gets a call from the same AD, informing him one became available so he instantly confirmed and collected the watch.
Now we are several months further and he has never taken the stickers off, or even the watch out of the box. So I decided to take it off his hands, partially feeling guilty of talking him into my watch virus and am putting it now on sale. The second watch in the pictures (with red strap) is the one I wear and keep.
Any marks you may discover on the pictures are dust inclusions, the watch was never worn or the stickers were never removed. It’s an official BNIB watch.
Strongly prefer sale in Europe, as the watch is in the Netherlands. Here below the technical details for those who may not be familiar with this model. I personally consider it one of my favourite Speedmasters because of its nice silver dial and accents in red. I’m not a medical doctor but the pulsation bezel is a nice variance and a wink to the past.
DESCRIPTION (from the Omega website)
The original OMEGA CK 2998 was released in 1959 and has since become one of the most iconic Speedmasters in the world. Today, that classic model has been used as inspiration for this timepiece.
The stainless steel case features a lightly sand-blasted silvery dial with a black minute track and a varnished red chronograph seconds hand, as well as blackened indexes and blackened hours and minutes hands that are coated in Super-LumiNova. The three black sub-dials include sand-blasted rhodium-plated hands.
The black ceramic bezel includes a white enamel pulsometer scale and the watch is presented on a black micro-perforated leather strap with a white rubber interior.
Driven by the famous OMEGA Calibre 1861, these watches have been produced in a limited series of 2,998 pieces. The Limited Edition number can be found on the case back, along with the original Seahorse medallion.
