    Price: $1,900.00 net to me

    Details:

Movement: Very clean Omega cal. 561 automatic date chronometer, 24 jewels. Movement number 20,3xx,xxx.

Case: Iconic "dog leg" or "grasshopper lug" steel case shows signs of wear commensurate with age. Case appears to have received minimal polishing, if ever. Edges retain their shape and are quite sharp. Case is 34mm in diameter (excluding crown). Measurement between lugs is 18mm. Visible scratches are seen on the case back and it clearly looks to have been polished, yet the distinctive Observatory logo is strong and well defined.

Dial / Crystal / Handset / Crown: Original dial with lacquer finish is near perfect, no signs of flaking, pimpling or discoloration. Applied Omega name, Omega symbol and star and framed date window are fully intact as are the raised rhodium plated hour markers. Lumed Dauphine hands are original. All 12 lume dots above the hour markers are intact. Crystal is original (micro-etched Omega logo present at center) and shows some superficial cracks and scratches around the periphery. Omega signed winding crown is original.

Bracelet: Omega seven-row Beads of Rice bracelet with "15" end pieces.

Condition: Prior to my acquisition this watch had been stored away and unused for decades, therefore I highly recommend having this collectible timepiece serviced at the time of purchase. Over the years the original seal deteriorated and effectively fused the case shut. A special jig and wrench pins were configured at ABC Watchwerks to safely open the case. Currently the case back is only hand-tightened. Although the winding mechanism is quite tight, the watch can be wound and when worn throughout the day keeps good time.

Notes: The iconic 1960’s Omega pie pan dials are understated yet highly attractive. This particular example is quite striking and easily one of the finest I’ve ever encountered. There’s a difference between an all-original vintage watch and one that’s been assembled to be period-correct. Being the former, this Omega Constellation is very desirable.

Terms and conditions of sale: Three-day return policy if the timepiece purchased is not the one pictured, or as described. A returned timepiece will be scrutinized in detail to make sure no parts have been altered or damaged in any way. Buyer is responsible for the cost of postage and insurance of any returned item. All international sales are final -- No Exceptions.
Outgoing shipments are packaged carefully and sent fully insured via USPS or FedEx (with Parcel Pro). If your package is lost or stolen, a refund will be issued after the insurance claim has been approved. A face-to-face transaction is possible if you live in or are visiting Southern California (Los Angeles).
Accepted forms of payment are wire transfer, check/money order, or cash if making a transaction in person. No items will be sent prior to the receipt and clearance of funds. Bank wire instructions will be given to the buyer upon confirmation of a purchase.
