Up for sale is a 1977 Seiko reference 6309-7040 on Miltat strap and tang buckle. The watch has its original case, dial, hands, day/date wheels, and bezel insert. Only the crystal is a replacement. Hard to find these in such excellent condition. Two small nicks on the side of the case (pictured), otherwise the case is in good shape with original circular brushing. Crystal is in perfect condition without a single mark. I've taken photos in both natural as well as indoor lighting (please excuse the dust on the crystal). The dial plots demonstrate a beautiful yellowish patina as does the lume pip on the bezel. There is very subtle darkening of the hands which appear to be graying slightly (this mis-match between hand and dial patina is normal for the 6309s - I have yet to find yellowed 6309 hands which are original). Offered at $450 USD with shipping cost to be determined by type and service. I am located in Maryland, USA. Face to face deals are welcome. Happy to provide references from many of the forums including WUS, TRF, OF, SCWF, etc.
Sure! Will post up tonight. This one is OHPF will follow up with each of you if the first deal doesn't go through.
Yup.. das nice! 'Twas my graduation year 40 years ago... I have no Seiko-oo-o... Congrats on the sale...
Aaargh! Beating myself up for not seeing this earlier. Been looking specifically for a September 1977 turtle as I was born in that month. Oh well, congrats on the sale!
