·I am offering for sale this Omega Speedmaster 145.022-78.
Watch Details: Original one owner watch with all the bells and whistles.
Dial & Hands: Type C3 with Tall & Open S.
Original black dial in excellent condition without any drag marks or defects. Original lume covering all indexes is present and intact. Dial is very pleasing to the eye and hands have the same creamy yellowish color.
Case: Type B1 Asymmetrical - Twisted Lugs
Superb condition case that is completely unpolished as if kept in a time capsule. Lugs are very sharp to the touch with all original lines.
Caseback: Type C4 Horizontal Tail
Perfect condition without any opening marks or service marks. Two letters on the caseback writing were touched up during service.
Bezel: Type B2 Dot Close to 70 - Narrow C
A nearly perfect DNN bezel without any major chips or blemishes. Excellent condition and original to the watch.
Movement: Type B2 861 Copper - Delrin Brake
Movement was serviced in March 2018 by Mr. Simon Freese. The watch comes with the remaining warranty which ends September 2019. Documentation of the service will be provided with the watch.
Crown & Pushers: Type A3 24 teeth and wide logo. Type 4 Wide and Tall
I believe both are original to the watch and wasn't replaced at time of service.
Extras: Watch comes on the original 1171 Bracelet with trapezoidal Omega logo with 633 endlinks. Bracelet is in very good condition. The original box and sales receipts. The first receipt is a layaway receipt showing multiple payments before the watch was finally paid off in full. The original watch documents are also included in the sale as well as The Extract of the Archives.
Asking price is $8,000. Watch is located in the EU but I'm willing to ship worldwide at buyers cost. I know the price that's listed for a -78 on S101 but when does a complete, original vintage watch with all the bits come up for sale? Rarely!
I’m currently selling a few watches to raise funds for my grail.
All photos are unedited and a large part of the description. Any spots you see in the pictures are dust and are not defects on the dial or crystal. Additional photos can be supplied if required. If you have any questions or if I misrepresented anything please let me know. Thanks for looking.
