Hi gang, Looks like an interesting watch from a well known eBay seller. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/332467402655 Not my personal cup of tea. Any know more about this one? Is it legit?
My guess : the previous poster is speculating that the seller is someone who works thereabouts and has access to rarities ...

I’m calling bullshit. Look at the 1.5 second marker on the auction. And again on the watchco dial. The piece of fluff and the Mexican bracelet are enough to convince me it’s a franken.
Not speculating actually and I thought that it's what the OP meant by "well known seller". There was a name change on that account a few years ago and "Bienne" became "watch valley". I can understand why they'd buy stuff on eBay, not so much why they need to sell on eBay and what gets sold there...
No offence meant Sir From my following of some heated threads, everything other than a paper trail is safely deemed 'speculation' Pertinent info that most folk here most likely do not have... Again leads one down the road of speculation
Actually, there is a tiiiiiny light spot on both watches triangulated between the 40 marker and the two subdials... Franken, indeed.
As pointed out, the dial is the exact one sold by Watchco years ago. It is apparently a test/prototype dial. Case is really different from any 11003 cases I've seen. Could also be a test/prototype case for something never made to production. Movement is just a regular Lemania 5012, lower grade than the 5100 which would be rebadged as Omega 1045. An Omega prototype movement would still have to be labelled as Omega, wouldn't it? A few interesting parts, but still a put-together/franken for sure.
They ended the listing and relisted it. Descriptions are still the same... https://www.ebay.com/itm/332473232911Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
At least now it is a no reserve, low starting price auction as opposed to the $18k BIN. I'll be surprised if this gets 10% of the previous asking price.
I just hope no body tries to pull a fast one and flip it months later....but that would make for a very fun read on OF lol
