So...

This one got snapped up before I could finish researching it - it looked promising with an attractive, textured dial and large size, but I can't recall ever seeing that case before?

Anyone know the reference?

I actually considered a "buy it know, ask questions later" strategy, but cautioness got the better of me 馃榿

Early Seamaster with dropped "r" is desirable.

Add SS with gold furniture plus guillose dial.

Appears original dial fonts to me.

Yep, I agree that all those factors are plusses - but I don't recall seeing that type of case before? I thought to myself that it wasn't a very attractive shape, so wouldn't want to gamble on it. Had it been better looking (beefier lugs, better bezel) I'd had gone for it immediately. Price was very, very attractive.

Thought I had a pic of a similar case but closest thing I found was a 1940's Elgin. Wasting a post to say hey I tried 馃榾
