Collecting, restoring, and exhibiting, watches and clocks, (particularly Americn railroad watches, but also Omega, Rolex, Hamilton marine chronometers), collecting horological related literature, technical writing (horological), international travel, camping, hobby car, playing old-time fiddle in 3 groups, reading (just finished Harper Lee's Go Set a Watchman. She of To Kill a Mockingbird which I haven't read. Favourite author Paul Theroux), music, particularly classical, old movies, and so forth.

I like drawing, painting a little sculpting - mainly abstract as indicated by the musical and artistic hero in my avatar

I sold quite a few paintings in the 90's but the commercial aspect took the joy out of it for me so these days I paint for myself. Ocassionally a family member takes one away to hand on a wall - in fact my youngest daughter took one today.

Zombie thread!

Nothing more disappointing than perusing old threads only to find that a whole bunch of linked photos are gone 馃檨

Sad but fitting that this is the final and only car made in England. That is drop-dead gorgeous.
Not the only car. Jaguar, Landrover, I think all European Nissan and Honda cars are made in the UK and for the smaller makers, Bentley, Rolls Royce, McLaren, Noble, Lotus, Aston Martin, Airiel and Caterham. I'm sure there are others but that's all I can come up with at the moment.
As my car picture seems to have disappeared here it is again:

Uploading these pic's im realizing i've probably spent the equivalent of decent watch. But its worth it i guess, a good dram is undervalued馃榾

Practicing and studying Historical European Martial Arts ('HEMA'): martial arts traditions that originated from Europe but that died out or were forgotten, and that have been 'reconstructed' over the past two decades or so using 'fighting manuals' that were written in the Middle Ages / early Renaissance.

Ohh hello there! What a great revival thread.
We are part of a Golden Retriever Rescue group, so I spend a good bit of time around the furry beasts.
I am training for my 2nd degree in a martial art form called Kuk Sool Won.
I am part of a crazy collector group that follows Scotty Cameron Putters.. And I golf as much as possible 馃榾
