See my problem is that as 1987, I've got too many expensive and unique birth year options, there's the overpriced Speedmaster Chuck Maddox Holy Grail 1987, the Rolex Daytona R series porcelain dial (The $50,000+ version of the SS Daytona only made in early 1987) and the more reasonable 168000, which I may consider, the last one being the shortest production submariner ever AFAIK for about 7 months in 1987

Yeah, to the Oilers in the Stanley Cup final - and they had a rookie goalie in Ron Hextall that season!

No, he's an extremely rare anti-gravitational parrot from the deepest Amazon.

...and I was getting ready for the last year of my degree course. You're talking to the wrong crowd if you want emotional support Ash.

And for reasons of completeness, here's my new GMT. 1968. I bought it off Scott Kaplan via Jacek. Highly recommended. Exactly. If not better, than described and at a very fair price. Right chuffed!

The Fat Lady (we are talking about watches here) are known for having dial issues. A lot after time became spotted and people rushed to get them replaced OR as in the case of this particular example, have them refinished. Awful refinishing job here..

Since this thread has risen from the dead, and I'm wearing my 16710 today... what the hell. Maybe it will come back to life.

@cicindela - love those nipple dial root beers...on my bucket list:thumbsup:
