...and I just thought that it would be criminal of me to not share this beauty with you guys. Never had I wanted a 6B so badly until now!
Oh my, what a beauty...I'm really starting to get very smitten by this reference. Must! Resist! (Or have I already fallen)
Huh, thanks for the advice! I really have a lot more reading to do about these two beauties. One thin, one fat?
Three (and arguably four) versions of the dial for this issued reference are recognized as correct, if not original. Here’s another, the “Bienne” Thin Arrow variant.
Huh, I was not aware a third accepted version existed. What are the subtle differences for the Bienne version? A quick search seems to indicate these are the ones that Omega replaced as service, but any differences in the dial that we can tell?
My 2777 group The 2777-2 1955 Railmaster Flanked by (2) 2777-1 1953 RAF Thin Arrows and (1) 2777-1 1953 RAF Fat Arrow
Today is a good day! I got my Fat Arrow back from the watchmaker with confirmation that it is all correct (there were some question marks). That is, correct apart from it lacking the ring holding the movement in place and the plexi being incorrect. I couldn’t believe my luck when I was told he had both the right plexi and the ring for the movement in his shop. Now the movement is serviced and the dial and hands carefully cleaned. Time to be thankful of skilled craftsmen with good stockpiles of parts.
