Just Livin
·I dont know. Maybe this thread will die a death.
But, this evening I found myself puzzling over what price to put my banged up 69 speedy with degraded dial up for sale at.
Sure there is Speedmaster101 which is an excellent reference. But then there are parameters there which are quite wide.
I find myself not wanting to be overambitious, but, at the same time not wanting to give away a piece when money in this day and age is very important...when is it never.
That's just speedies.
I like Ebay a lot. But it has its issues:
- Commission rates
- Flaky buyers
- Flaky sellers
- Flaky Flaky
I like IG and Chronocentric, whereby 'Offers' are welcomed. Granted could be a little of the Wild West here. But for the most part you can figure out the scammers.
Within the OF community there has the wonderful safety net of the established community.
Would that benefit lend itself well to an "offers section'. No commitment. Seller posts purely seeking offers. If he is happy great. If not, no harm no foul. Again in line with the 200 Post Rule.
