I think it's a natural and emotional reaction. It is not "faulty" really. A little give in the bezel
Is just that, and it is not something you have to live for for the rest of your life really. Once fixed its fixed.

You may get another one that will have the perfect bezel and the the crown will fall off after a week erc.

But these are not cheap watches and you're entitled to your feelings. Express your point of view at the Boutique see what they say although I'd assume that's more on the AD that sold it to you.

Yea I hear you my brain says though that if it had that problem it could have 'more' you know? We will see. I already did and they were surprised by the AD's lack of care but said they cant physically replace as it wasn't bought at OB. Hopefully I will be happy with the result.
I only knew this was an issue as I had the Bond SMP 50th for a few months and that had no problems.

Yeah! I guess some would see that as a reason to "only" by Boutique and not even AD.

If this small issue was somewhere in the movement is share your feelings about other issues. Being the bezel I don't think you should be concerned; different areas of manufacturing.

How long ago did you get it? Did you buy it with a Credit Card? Because perhaps you can open a claim and return it at the AD as defective and get your money back.... Then buy a new one .

I'm not saying the issue warrants it, but at the end of the day if it's going to make you feel less happy to wear the watch you might as well press the issue.

Annoying thing I WAS gonna OB but I went AD as I have a 3 piece omega watch box (on sales thread) cost me £330 which Omega would let me trade in but I got the watch for £2200 at AD and can still sell the box making better financial sense plus the fact they ordered it direct from Omega Switz (it still had the shipping box!) so untouched

Got it YESTERDAY lol

So within a day you can still place a claim with your credit card company and AD

I think Omega as a rule has three attempts at fixing an issue before issuing a new watch. That said there is normally a period of time after purchase when an exchange or return is accepted, even if sometimes it has a shelving fee attached.

There is no such rule that I have ever seen. The Omega customer service policies state that replacement watches are at the discretion of the brand or country manager usually.

Cheers, Al

Ok. Good to know. I know there was a thread a few months back with a similar case and the discussion led to the 3 repair attempts prior to replacement. I may be remembering wrong.

You might be remembering correctly about a specific watch, but I suspect that decision was made by a country or brand manager, rather than it being a set rule. I know of watches that have gone back and forth more than 3 times without being replaced. A replacement watch for something this minor is not likely to be frank...

Cheers, Al

Ive just bought the same watch and there is no play on my bezel at all.

Can i ask, are your warranty cards all red, or with white boxes, as mine look different to what I'm used to......

So Craig, if you gently push vertically down on your bezel does it give AT ALL or completely rock solid?

It will press down very slightly but no rock or side to side play. You have to look at the gap between the case and bezel side ways on to notice it. If you look at the glass you can't see it move.

I had this with my smpc- I took it to Swatch, the guy popped the bezel off, inspected, bent the springs up a little, which didn't really help. But he said its normal.

If I tap it, it makes a clicking sound from the little travel distance.
