Well I've had my SMP for just over a month now and I'm still loving it, it really is a joy to look at.
Over the last month its lost about 0.5 seconds, I however have lost hours reading this forum to the point where my wife has started to say 'are you still reading about watches that's all you do all evening!' So many thanks to all the mods and contributors for a very informative site.
One thing I have discovered however is that a need to start saving for a nice vintage Omega!! My wife has a significant birthday in early May and I'm beginning to think she might well need a nice vintage Seamaster or Speedy!! sized to fit me.
Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to answer my questions.

The standard reply to that is "But honey, I'm right here if you need me. I could have another hobby like golf where I disappear for hours..... or worse, I could be chasing skirts in dive bars. Watches are easy to store and don't irritate the neighbors, and they have decent resale."

    Okay Homer. :p
